There seems to be a lot of comparisons lately between California and Texas. While it is clear that California remains the leader in terms of innovation and desirability, the general consensus seems to be that Texas is positioned to take over as the leading economic power of the United States.
In the context of an economic recovery, and more specifically, real estate investments for the next couple of years, the two most important factors to consider are job growth and population growth. The extremely business-friendly environment of Texas is attracting many companies to move and grow their business there (no state income tax, and many other incentives also helps the cause). But the other main driver is immigration from Latin America. Affordable housing, plentiful employment, and a relatively friendlier immigration policy continues to drive immigration from Latin America to Texas.
In light of the housing crises and 10%-15% unemployment rates in the rest of the border states (California, Nevada, Arizona, Florida), it quite clear that Texas may actually be the real “Golden State”.

Capital Growth Investment has focused for the last four years on multiple real estate opportunities in various markets of Texas. The relatively low price of borrowing, distressed owners, and the lack of competition from other investors makes this a great time to buy.
